Re-Industrialise is looking to support ambitious initiatives with a clear pathway to positive climate impact and innovative ideas, to accelerate sustainable industry transformation.
So far, North-Rhine Westphalia and Silesia have been selected as the Flagship’s starter regions. Activities in further regions are being planned.
In this call for projects, the Flagship seeks projects that particularly focus on:
- Business case studies and pilots to inform our Re-Industrialise Lab: Testing, development, implementation of new business models
- Innovative methodologies for involving civil society, workers associations and resident population to participate in the co-design of regional re-industrialisation plans
- Development of innovative, smart policy intervention for regional agencies or authorities, to be shared for closing knowledge gaps
- Support of entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial solutions
- In particular the call seeks proposals that mobilise and support:
- Companies from European industry regions that want to decarbonise their business and strengthen their innovation capacities.
- Entrepreneurs/start-ups that are developing and implementing innovative and low-carbon business cases in European industry regions.
Project consortia should feature clear linkages or mechanisms to engage and exchange with the aforementioned target audiences.
